About Conformity Certifications Department
The Certification Department of JSMO is responsible for granting conformity certificates in various fields, including:
- Jordan Quality Mark Certificate
- Halal Certificate for Food Products
- Product Conformity Certificates including Certificates of Conformity issued through the Saber Platform.
- Organic Production Certificate
- GLOBAL G.A.P Good Agricultural Practices Certificate
- Jordan Eco-Label (JO-Ecolabel)
- Shamsi Certificate and Mark
The department operates in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17065:2012, which specifies the requirements for bodies certifying products, processes, and services; ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, which specifies the requirements for bodies providing management systems certification; and ISO 14024:2018, which specifies the principles and procedures for Type I environmental labelling programmes.
The department is internationally accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) for granting the GLOBALG.A.P. Certificate. It is also nationally accredited by the Jordan Accreditation System (JAS-AU) for issuing conformity certificates for products exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the SABER platform.
Furthermore, the department is internationally accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) for granting Halal Certification for Food Products in accordance with the requirements of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) standards, and the applicable Jordanian standards. It is also internationally accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) for granting Organic Production Certificates.
In addition, the department has been recognized by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) for issuing conformity certificates for products through the SABER platform, and by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for granting Halal Certification for Food Products.
