Service Description
Granting Shamsi certificate and label for solar thermal collectors and solar thermal systems for water heating.

Required Documents
- A document registering the establishment with government agencies, indicating the license for the establishment to produce the products or systems eligible for receiving a Shamsi certificate and label, and a document registering trademarks.
- List of quality procedures and a copy of the calibration procedure.
- A document indicating external entities contracted for completing the production process, such as external laboratories, partial manufacturing.
- Detailed manufacturing process plan with quality control points indicated.
- A copy of the organizational structure of the establishment.
- A copy of the inspection and testing procedure, and the quality inspection and control plan for the product.
- A copy of management system certificates, if available.
- A list of the tests conducted in the facility's laboratories or in external laboratories, along with the specification number upon which the tests are based.
- A copy of the management system handbook for one of the management systems (e.g., Quality Manual according to International Standard (9001)) if the establishment is certified for this system.
- A list of quality control employees and laboratory personnel showing the following: job title, academic qualifications, years of experience, and training courses.
- A document explaining the product coding and tracing procedures.
- A copy of the complaint record/forms for products.
- The job description for quality control employees and laboratory personnel.
- A copy of any promotional or marketing brochures for the product.
- A copy of internal and/or external inspection reports.
- The detailed technical documents required for solar panels.
- A list of measurement equipment and inspection devices used in inspection and quality control, indicating their calibration location (internal/external), as well as the accuracy and scale of each device
- The detailed technical documents required for the solar water heating system.
- A document explaining the product coding and tracing procedures.
Service Stages
- Filling out the application for obtaining a Shamsi certificate and label, and submitting it to the department.
- Reviewing the application by the department's employee and conducting an initial visit to the establishment to assess the feasibility of proceeding with the procedures for granting the Shamsi certificate and label.
- Proceeding with the contract signing procedures if the application is approved, and providing the establishment with two copies of the contract along with relevant documents and a list of required documents.
- Evaluating the management system if there is no management system certificate from an accredited technical evaluation body.
- If any non-conformities are found in the technical evaluation results, an agreement is reached on a corrective period for addressing non-compliant situations, followed by verification of their closure.
- Sampling for examination and notifying the establishment of the decision regarding the assessment results of the sample examination.
- If any non-compliance with the product's standard specifications is found in the sample examination results, an agreement is reached on a corrective period for addressing non-compliant situations, followed by verification of their closure.
- Upon completion of all requirements for issuing the certificate, a decision to grant the certificate and label is issued for a period of two years, during which a verification process is conducted, including sampling only if necessary.
Time Required to Provide the Service :A maximum of 8 months from the date of application submission to certificate issuance.
