Service Description
Granting Halal Logo and Certificate to products to facilitate the export of Jordanian food products to foreign markets.

Required Documents
- The formal registration of the organization in the governmental departments, which authorize the organization to produce the products and the trademarks intended for HALAL certification
- List of measuring devices and testing equipments used in testing and quality control and determine the place of calibration (Internal/ External) in addition to the accuracy of each device and its division
- Copy of the organizational structure
- Copy of calibration procedure
- Copy of management systems certificates
- Flowchart for the production process showing control points 6- List of names of quality, Halal project and laboratory employees showing the followings:
- Job title
- Educational qualifications.
- Experience years
- Training courses
- Copy of the quality manual for Food Safety management system (ISO 22000) in case that the management system is certified.7- Copy of internal test reports for the products
- Copy of testing procedure and testing and quality control plan
- Job description for quality, Halal scheme and laboratory employees
- Document showing the identification and traceability of the products
- List of names of quality, Halal project and laboratory employees showing the followings:- Job title, Educational qualifications, Experience years, Training courses
- Copy of product label
- List of laboratory tests undertaken in the organization lab and the reference standard
- Copy of complaints record/forms for the
- Copy of internal and external test results for the products
- Copy of any brochures or flyers for products or organization
Service Stages
- Fill the Application form to be review by CT, inform ORG regarding evaluating the application and submit the necessary documents to ORG.
- Perform a pre-audit visit to the ORG to review the production conditions and manufacturing process for the purpose of determining the possible going through the procedure for obtaining a halal certificate
- If the application is rejected, inform the ORG with justifications, new application may be submitted after meeting all requirements.
- If approved, the ORG will be provided with a copy of the contract and the procedure will be initiated.
- Auditing the FSMS (if ORG is not certified according to FSMS), technical and Islamic Shariah rules of the ORG, samples shall be taken for laboratory testing to ensure the conformity of the product, its safety for human consumption, and its free of substances prohibited by Islamic law. In case of NCs, the corrective action period for closing is agreed between the two parties.
- Granting the ORG a license for a period of three years to use the halal certificate and Logo only for the certified product, interspersed with subsequent follow-up visits as it deems appropriate, at a minimum once a year.
Time Required to Provide the Service: A maximum of 4 months for auditing and granting
